Planning a honeymoon on a budget doesn't mean Disney World is out of reach! With a bit of preparation and some creativity, your Disney dreams can come true.
Here are my favorite ways to save and plan for a magical honeymoon on a budget:

If you're trying to plan your dream honeymoon on a strict budget, Disney World is totally possible! It all comes down to strategic planning, and I've done the research so you don't have to!
Here are a few of my favorite ways to save:
If you want to stick to a strict budget, Disney gift cards are a great tool to help you plan. They can be used all throughout the resorts at restaurants, shops, and more. You can also buy these at a discount (usually about 5% off) from places like Target and Sam’s Club, saving you even more!
For a few Disney restaurants, you can also snag discount Landry's gift cards at Costco for 20% off. My favorite place to use these is at Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom!
PLAN IN ADVANCE AND PAY OVER TIME
Booking your trip as far out as possible has tons of benefits, including a wider room selection, more opportunities for discounts, and, most importantly, the ability to pay off your trip over time. When you book a vacation package, you only need to put down $200 to start. Then, you can pay off the rest of your balance in smaller chunks up to 30 days before your trip. So, the further out your trip is, the more time you’ll have to spread the payments out.
Disney World has its fair share of busy periods, but there are also plenty of dates where pricing and crowds are lower. When crowds are lower, Disney hotel pricing is often lower as well.

I’m a huge fan of all things Disney food and snacks, but they sure can add up fast! I love bringing apples, Goldfish (Mickey-shaped of course!), and protein bars for some quick and easy snacks that save me from buying all the churros when I’m hungry.
Many grocery-delivery services will deliver groceries right to your resort, and this is something my husband and I actually had fun with during our honeymoon. We ordered all our favorite snacks for movie nights in our hotel, as well as some light breakfast items and snacks to fill the gaps between our park day meals.
STAY AT A VALUE OR MODERATE RESORT
If you want to get the most bang for your buck, a Disney Resort hotel can still be in your budget! The value resorts at Walt Disney World still come with the perks of being on-property, while also not breaking the bank. The prices are comparable to off-property resorts where you might end up paying more for transportation to the parks, parking, and resort fees.
If you have a bit more wiggle room in your budget, moderate resorts like Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, and Coronado Springs are great options. These offer slightly more upscale accommodations while still remaining reasonably priced.
Another option is to spend a few nights at a value resort, and a few nights at a moderate or deluxe resort. The best of both worlds without blowing your budget!
USE POINTS AT THE DOLPHIN, SWAN, OR SWAN RESERVE
If you have a stash of Marriott reward points or even enough to pay for just one or two nights, there are a few on-property hotels you can use them at. The Dolphin, Swan, and Swan Reserve hotels are the only non-Disney hotels that come with many of the perks of Disney hotels.
There are additional Marriott hotels outside of Disney property, but these three are the only ones that include Disney transportation and Early Entry perks (which are usually reserved for deluxe Disney hotels!).

Keep in mind you will have to pay a resort fee of $40 a night as of September 2023, even when booking with points. Peak times may cost you more points, so take a look at the points calendar for the lowest cost nights to use those points and awards.
With enough planning and preparation, a Disney vacation is possible on a strict budget. And no matter what, just remember the memories and magic of a Disney Honeymoon are always worth the it!
