Is it possible to have a romantic dinner in Disney World? It's a theme park, so it's just theme park food, right?
While there are definitely options for traditional theme park fare like corn dogs, turkey legs, and more, Disney World offers countless world-class dining options throughout the over 40-square-mile resort. So many restaurants on property are absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner—it’s honestly a challenge to choose just a few for your trip!
To me, dining in Disney is just as much fun as the parks themselves. Most often, I actually plan my trips around the restaurants we'll be visiting while there!
Whether you dine in the parks, Disney Springs, or a resort hotel, Disney World has plenty of options for a romantic night. Just remember that Disney restaurants are incredibly popular, so make sure to grab your reservations as soon as you’re 60 days out from your trip.
Most of these locations accept Disney Gift Cards, and if you've set up a Disney honeymoon registry, don't forget to include meals at these restaurants for your guests to purchase!
Here are my top picks for a romantic meal in Disney Springs:
We’re starting off with my absolute favorite restaurant in Disney Springs for both its food and its romantic ambiance. Terralina Crafted Italian features an inviting Italian theme and menu. Beautiful stonework, rustic italian decor, and lake views give this spot a charming feel. And of course, the food and drinks are to die for; everything I’ve ever tried here has been absolutely delicious.
The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, including handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and a variety of antipasti, salads, and entrees. My husband and I still dream about our meals at this restaurant from our honeymoon trip. On our first night here, I ordered the burger (of all things at an Italian restaurant) and was blown away by how incredible it was. We also split a pitcher of the white sangria (it was amazing), and took what we couldn’t finish to go for our stroll around Disney Springs after dinner.
We loved this place so much we went two nights in a row, and we probably would have gone again if we had the time! It was the perfect combination of romantic and delicious.
With a more upscale vibe and a bit on the pricier side, Morimoto Asia was our splurge meal on the last night of our honeymoon. We shared the Peking Duck, and it was incredible.
Beautiful high ceilings, two-story glass beaded chandeliers, wooden accents, and an open kitchen give this Pan-Asian spot a contemporary yet elegant feel, perfect for a romantic night out. Their menu features a fusion of traditional Asian dishes with modern twists and an extensive selection of wines, sakes, and Asian-inspired cocktails. On the second level, the restaurant features a sushi bar and a lounge for a more secluded feel, as well as an outdoor terrace overlooking Disney Springs.
Wine Bar George is another fantastic option for a romantic and sophisticated experience. This spot features excellent food, an extensive selection of wines from around the world, and a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
The menu here is designed to complement the wine list, with a focus on small plates and shareable dishes. Try the crispy mac and cheese bites (yum!) and choose from an array of different charcuterie boards. And with wine in the name, it’s no wonder Wine Bar George also offers over 140 wines by the ounce, glass, or bottle.
For another fun experience, head downstairs to The Basket and purchase many of Wine Bar George’s offerings to-go in a picnic-ready format (yep, the mac and cheese bites are available!). Then, take a boat or bus on over to a nearby Disney resort hotel and enjoy an idyllic picnic for two.
Located aboard an iconic steamboat anchored on Lake Buena Vista, Paddlefish offers a sensational selection of seafood dishes, as well as a few meat options. For a more romantic ambiance, ask about being seated on the upper deck of the restaurant overlooking the lake and Disney Springs. You might even see a few Amphicars ride by down in the water as you dine!
